THE DAIRY

In the days when Boturnell was a working farm, this barn housed the dairy. Today it has been converted into a spacious one bedroom cottage, complete with many artifacts from the old fashioned days of farming life. The building is clad in the traditional Polperro ripple plaster work.

There is a fully fitted designer kitchen and open plan living area and dining room. Here, there is a colour television with integral video. Patio doors open out onto your own paved garden with many colourful pots. This is enclosed with its own fence and has wheelchair access. The lounge contains a futon/sofa to allow flexibility.

The double bedroom is tastefully decorated with its own individual bed linen on an antique pine bed. En-suite is the bathroom, with bath and shower. .

ROOST

Once the home of a Barn Owl, the Roost has been converted into a cosy cottage with exposed beams and a slate floor. Downstairs is an open plan lounge, diner and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a sofa bed to allow for flexibility. Colour television and games and books are supplied for your entertainment. As well as a convertor heating, there is a log effect fire under the slate fireplace, which you are free to use. Upstairs has a family bedroom. It is L shaped, with a single and double bed. The room is heated by night storage. The bathroom is en-suite, with a full sized bath and hand held shower. There is a fan heater for your comfort. From this cottage, you can lie in bed and watch the horses.

TOAD HALL

A delightful cottage with inverted accommodation comprising of a spacious open plan lounge, diner and kitchen upstairs. There are exposed beams and the walls are of local stone. There is an open fireplace with an efficient log effect electric fire which you are free to use. There is a colour television and a selection of books and games. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a sofa bed to allow for flexibility.

Downstairs there is a Double and a Twin bedroom.

THE SWALLOWS

Originally the holiday home of many swallows, they now have new quarters in the stables. It has been tastefully converted into a two bedroom cottage complete with all the comforts of home. Unusually, it is on three levels. The living area provides a fully fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher and microwave. There is a colour television and a sofa bed in the lounge area. An old church pew has been used to create a separate dining area. Upstairs from here is a large family bedroom with two 3' single beds and one 2' 6"bed. The stain glass windows illuminate the stair well. There is an en-suite shower room. Downstairs, is the double bedroom. This has a cast iron bed and a stable door opening out into the stable yard. En-suite is a bathroom with a full sized bath and stained glass windows.

The Old Smoke House

This cottage is the other half of the barn that housed the dairy. The name refers back to the time when Boturnell had its own charcoal woods, and probably had its own range of fresh produce.
